Q. The Computer I'm building has power but won't start and just gives three Audio Bleeps, what's happened ?

A. You'll find this out later on in Unit 2, you say there's three bleeps,
it sometimes hard to tell without hearing them but it sounds like the
RAM.

Just check its in correctly.

In fact we can tell by doing this.

Take the memory out and switch on

Do the beeps change? if not then it must be the memory.

Put it back in again and see if it changes.

Usually we are notified of RAM problems by a continuous bleep (Bleep, Pause, Bleep and so on).

Video related issues are usually reported by one long bleep, followed by three shorter bleeps.

I think this is the best way to learn when things don't go according to plan.
