Unit 3 deals specifically with Data Storage and the various options available when installing and configuring Hard Drives.

First we look at the differences between PATA Master/Slave, Primary & Secondary configurations

SATA configuration is then also covered before looking at creating Primary, Extended & Logical Partitions using FDISK.

We later move to more modern methods of disk management and examine the disk manager utilities provided by XP & Vista at which time volumes are also introduced.
