The course has taken Humberside IT Services around 5 years to develop and meets the governments requirements of short intense courses aimed at finding people employment fast and can be obtained in just 70 learning hours. It has been approved as a nationally recognised qualification by the awarding body EDEXCEL.
Based around a series of tasks the BTEC is concerned with practical issues of installing/configuring hardware and software, rather than the exact electrical theory of how certain components work.
Because of this a candidate does not get bogged down and concentrates only on relevant information.
